In
1916 B-P started the Wolf Cub Section to provide a training scheme
for Scouts' younger brothers. He based the Wolf Cub section on the
Seonnee Pack from 'The Jungle Book' written by his close friend
Rudyard Kipling. Kipling also wrote 'Kim', the title character of
which inspired Kim's Game.
The programme, although very different to that of
the Scouts, starts the Wolf Cubs on a trail to learning all the
Scouting skills needed for their future life in the Troop.
The Wolf Cub Training Scheme is comprised of the
following:
* Tenderpad
* First Star
* Second Star
* Leaping Wolf
The Wolf Cubs also have their own Law, Promise and

The Cub gives in to the Old Wolf.
